Free Body and Soul & Geden Promo Welcomes Indonesian Independence at the Temple Tourism Park Destination

Magelang, August 16, 2024 – InJourney Destination Management (IDM) enlivens the celebration of the Republic of Indonesia's independence every August 17 by presenting Jiwa Raga Merdeka & Promo Geden at the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park, Prambanan and Keraton Ratu Boko destinations.

At this joyful moment of Indonesian independence, InJourney Destination Management (IDM) presents Jiwa Raga Merdeka at the destination heritage which it manages. IDM invites tourists who come to appreciate the spirit of independence through an experience that combines the beauty of nature, history, culture by combining activities that cultivate the soul and body.

Jiwa Raga Merdeka combines activities that arouse the spirit of nationalism. Jiwa Merdeka presents prayers together with pradaksina activities around Borobudur Temple. "Giving meaning to independence can be done in various ways and activities. We present authentic activities to celebrate independence with great fanfare at Prambanan Temple but also present spiritual activities at Borobudur Temple. Hopefully these two activities can add their own color to the excitement of the celebration of the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia," explained IDM Commercial Director Hetty Herawati in Yogyakarta, Friday (16/8/2024).   

Jiwa Raga Merdeka at the Prambanan Temple Tourism Park destination with the theme of Prambanan Agustusan is the main activity of the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia celebration. This activity features interesting performances in collaboration with Gadjah Mada University (UGM) and various cross-communities and MSMEs in Yogyakarta. 

On August 17, 2024, Prambanan Agustusan through a program entitled Swara Merdeka brought the corps Marching Band Universitas Gadjah Mada and the Universitas Gadjah Mada Student Choir (PSM UGM) to enliven the red and white parade while singing national, regional and pop songs that are familiar to the public. 

The parade that will take place starting at 14.00 WIB from Siwa Field to Sentono Field, Prambanan Temple Tourism Park complex, will be an interesting treat for visiting tourists. While touring, visitors can also commemorate the moment of the independence of the Republic of Indonesia.

Prambanan Agustusan presents the Medang Market with red and white nuances and presents various activities that enliven the commemoration of the Republic of Indonesia's Independence Day. The Jiwa Raga Merdeka agenda invites participants to exercise pound fit approaching dusk at the Prambanan Temple Tourism Park destination.

The Medang Market in Prambanan in August is also enlivened by various typical competitions approaching the 17th, such as cracker eating competitions, tug of war, and others which can be participated in by all visiting tourists.

InJourney Destination Management in collaboration with the UGM Academic Hospital (RSA) presents medical check up mobile which can be followed by visitors for free in the Pasar Medang Prambanan Agustusan area. In addition, RSA UGM also provides Anthropometric examinations and traditional herbal drinks. 

On August 17, 2024, IDM in collaboration with the Indonesian Nyingma Community Council (MUNI) and the Indonesian Mahanikaya Buddhist Religious Council (MBMI) held a Pradaksina Merdeka activity or walking while praying around Borobudur Temple, Central Java. The activity, which was attended by hundreds of Buddhists from various sanghas, offered prayers for the nation as a form of gratitude in welcoming and filling independence.
