Svarna Sandya Nusantara Present to Enliven Cultural Arts Performances at Ratu Boko Palace

PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko or InJourney Destination Management collaborated with PT Hamzah HS or known as Hamzah Batik to present a performance The Beautiful Sands of the Archipelago in the courtyard of Ratu Boko Palace, Prambanan, Sleman, Saturday (26/10/2024). This art and cultural performance invites the public, especially the younger generation to love Nusantara art and culture in order to enrich the national treasure.

Svarna Sandya Nusantara presents a new experience in enjoying the grandeur of cultural heritage buildings and enjoying the beauty of traditional Indonesian culture. Through this experience, it is hoped that it can build pride and a positive image of cultural and artistic diversity through the existence of Indonesian cultural heritage sites.

The Svarna Sandya Nusantara performance was opened with the Caos Dhahar procession, where troops dressed in Javanese clothing carried a number of ubo rampe in the form of dishes, flowers and incense as a form of gratitude to God Almighty and respect for ancestors. The procession ended with the distribution of rice gudangan to the Svarna Sandya Nusantara audience as a symbol of the start of the activity.

After the opening procession, it continued with a dance performance from the Kinanti Sekar Studio. This studio, which was founded in 2015, helps preserve and develop Indonesian dance art through modern dance works and creations presented by the general public. After that, visitors were entertained with a musical performance by Paksi Raras Alit with Sawo Kecik Yogyakarta which added to the festive atmosphere of the evening at the remembrance of king Rakai Panangkaran (746–784 AD) from the Sailendra dynasty.

The event was also enlivened by the Njoged Njaran performance which originated from the kuda lumping folk art group that developed in Bokoharjo, Prambanan, Sleman. Combining traditional and modern dance movements, this work displays innovations in costumes, properties, and music inspired by the art. Njoged Jaran represents the fighting spirit of the tenacious cavalry by presenting energetic movement dynamics, interesting horse and fan properties, and stirring musical accompaniment.

Svarna Sandya Nusantara also presents Mustika Aji Pringgodani “Gatotkaca” which tells the story of the struggle of the knight who is famous for his iron wire muscles. The performance was also enlivened by the appearance of Raminten Cabaret Show which invited crisp laughter from the audience.
