PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan, and Ratu Boko (PT TWC) or InJourney Destination Management (IDM) handed over assistance for the improvement of educational and worship facilities in Yogyakarta. The Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) assistance in the context of the Yogyakarta Regional BUMN Christmas celebration was given to SD Bopkri Karangwaru 2 and GKJ Medari Region 2 Cebongan in Sleman, Yogyakarta.
Deputy Minister of SOEs Aminuddin Ma'ruf directly handed over this assistance to the Principal of SD Bopkri Karangwaru 2 Yogyakarta accompanied by the Director of Finance and Risk Management of IDM Joel Siahaan, Thursday (16/1/2025). Symbolically, the Deputy Minister of SOEs painted the walls of SD Bopkri to begin the renovation of this school building.
"This collaboration is a real manifestation of BUMN's commitment to be present in the community, support education, and improve public facilities that directly benefit the community," said Aminuddin Ma'ruf in his speech.
Deputy Minister of BUMN Aminuddin Ma'ruf also had the opportunity to review the condition of GKJ Medari Region 2 Cebongan, Mlati, Sleman, Yogyakarta. The condition of the roof frame that has rotted and several gaping holes are the source of leaks when rain hits this area. BUMN collaboration is present to revitalize the condition of the roof frame of the church that was built in 1957 and has 100 active congregations who worship there.
This TJSL assistance is the result of collaboration between various BUMNs, including PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero), PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), PT Jasa Marga (Persero), and InJourney Destination Management. The handover of this assistance is also a symbol of BUMN's solidarity and concern for the community, especially in the fields of education and religion.
In the spirit of collaboration between State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), the assistance provided includes repainting the Bopkri Karangwaru 2 Elementary School building to create a more comfortable and conducive learning environment for students and repairing facilities at GKJ Medari Region 2 Cebongan, which includes repairing leaking roofs, perforated ceilings, and walls that experience water seepage during the rain.
The Pastor of GKJ Medari II Cebongan, Sleman, Yogyakarta, Eko Iswanto expressed his gratitude to the Deputy Minister of BUMN and the ranks of BUMN companies who had provided this social assistance.
"This is a blessing for us, this assistance will be used to renovate the church building which has damaged roofs and ceilings as well as to complete the construction of the church hall," he explained.
In addition to these two locations, the BUMN collaboration in the framework of the Yogyakarta Regional BUMN Christmas celebration also distributed aid in several other locations, including one laptop unit for Bopkri Gunung Ijo Elementary School, Kulon Progo, distribution of 50 basic food packages, 50 cleaning equipment packages and one washing machine unit to the Santa Maria Ganjuran Orphanage, Bantul, as well as assistance of one vacuum frying unit to the Bhakti Luhur Orphanage, Berbah, Sleman.
InJourney Destination Management is committed to implementing TJSL programs that have a positive impact on the community. In its implementation, PT TWC and other BUMN partners do not only focus on developing tourist destinations, but also on empowering and improving the welfare of the surrounding community.
"Through this assistance, it is hoped that the quality of facilities and infrastructure in both locations can be improved to support teaching and learning activities and church community activities," explained Joel Siahaan.
