Collaboration for the Preservation & Development of the Borobudur Art Village Museum

PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko collaborated with PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk to preserve the monumental values ​​of Borobudur through the development of a Museum located in the Borobudur Art Village (KSB). 

Regional Head of BNI Regional Office 17 Yogyakarta Ariyanto Soewondo Geni together with the Director of PT Taman Wisata Borobudur (TWB) ceremonially started the collaboration in the preservation and development of the Borobudur Art Village Museum.

"We thank BNI for jointly providing added value to the region through the collaboration in developing the Borobudur Art Village Museum. This support is expected to support a complete tourist visit to Borobudur," explained Mardijono Nugroho.

Borobudur Art Village Museum is designed to be the starting point for tourists visiting Borobudur Temple. The museum is a crucial point to support tourists' knowledge of the history, development of the area and universal values ​​of Borobudur.

Collaboration includes revitalization of gallery space introduction, gallery room two contains Borobudur artifacts and gallery room three includes a discussion of temple architecture and the development of the Borobudur area.

Regional Head of BNI Regional Office 17 Yogyakarta Ariyanto Soewondo Geni said that the Borobudur Museum has a very important role, including improving visitor experience and enriching public knowledge about Indonesian history and culture.

"The development of this museum is an inseparable part of the development of the Super Priority Tourism Destination (DPSP) area designed by the Indonesian Government. Through this museum, it is hoped that it can provide its own meaning and significance, while promoting the civilization of Indonesian cultural history to local and international communities," he concluded.
