Meaningful Eid Holiday Experience at the Temple Tourism Park Destination

During the 2025 Eid holiday period, a significant spike in the movement of people and tourists in Indonesia is predicted.
President Director of PT Aviasi dan Pariwisata Indonesia (Persero) or InJourney Maya Watono in a press conference held at the Prambanan Temple Tourism Park (22/03) projected that there would be 81.401 flight traffic during the Eid holiday period from 21 March 2025 to 11 April 2025 with an estimate that more than 10,8 million people would mobilize.
Data from the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) projects that the highest movement destination for people both by land and air travel during Eid al-Fitr 2025/1446 H will be the Central Java Province (Jateng) with a total of 36,6 million people, followed by East Java with 27,4 million people (18,7 percent), West Java with 22,1 million people (15,1 percent), and Yogyakarta with 9,4 million people (6,4 percent).
To ensure the smooth flow of Lebaran homecoming, InJourney has made various preparations starting from the airport side, flight services, and also tourist destinations. PT TWC has determined the 2025 Lebaran Peak Period at Borobudur Temple, Prambanan Temple and Ratu Boko Palace from April 1–6, 2025. During this peak period, PT TWC predicts the number of visits to TWC Borobudur will be 76 thousand tourists or an increase of 31,61% from 2024.
The number of visits to TWC Prambanan is predicted to be 94 thousand tourists or an increase of 34,86% from 2024. Meanwhile, the Keraton Ratu Boko destination is projected to be visited by 6 thousand visitors, an increase of 16,33% from 2024. During the 2025 Lebaran Peak Period, the Ramayana Theater Performance will be held on April 1-10, 2025 with a target audience of 5,2 thousand viewers or a 45% increase from last year. Meanwhile, for accommodation services, The Manohara Hotel Yogyakarta is targeting a 16% increase in room occupancy from 2024.
The operating hours of the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park destination ticket counter start at 06.30–16.30 WIB. The tourist ticket counter operation at the TWC Prambanan destination is open at 06.00–17.15 WIB. The Keraton Ratu Boko destination is open at 07.00–17.15 WIB.
PT TWC collaborates with various parties to present meaningful experiences with excellent service at TWC destinations. To provide optimal service, PT TWC has assigned 900 operational officers who will ensure comfortable and memorable tourist visits during the 2025 Lebaran Peak Season at the Taman Wisata Candi destination.
PT TWC works with nearly 100 officers from the TNI and POLRI and nearly 200 internal security officers deployed to maintain the security and comfort of visits throughout the destination area. The TWC destination is also supported by 14 medical officers from six hospitals closest to the destination area and 1 community health center that has collaborated as a reference for further health care.
As a form of anticipation of extreme weather, PT TWC installed a number of additional lightning rods and maintained tree branches and limbs to minimize the impacts that occur.
