InJourney Group & Ministry of Creative Economy Collaboration Encourages Creative Economy Growth and Local MSMEs
InJourney Group collaborates with the Indonesian Ministry of Creative Economy (Kemenekraf) to collaborate in an effort to advance the creative industry sector in Indonesia. This is realized considering that InJourney has the same spirit as Kemenekraf to always focus on empowering MSMEs and improving the quality of local products in Indonesia. In addition, this is done to encourage local MSME players to be able to compete in the global market.
Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar said that the Ministry of Creative Economy has a series of programs in terms of advancing Indonesia's creative economy which are carried out through collaboration, one of which is with InJourney.
"There are two fundamental KPIs that are carried out, namely to create economic value added which means that in encouraging the creative economy in Indonesia, it must be able to create an impact on national economic growth and contribute to Indonesia's national Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The second is the absorption of labor, where the creative economy must be able to start from all regions in Indonesia, especially tourist destinations," said Irene.
InJourney's President Commissioner Triawan Munaf explained that the collaboration between InJourney and the Ministry of Creative Economy is something we should support amidst uncertain financial conditions.
"Collaboration encourages us to build and grow the potential of the creative economy in Indonesia, especially in various tourism destinations because this is what makes a destination attractive," explained Triawan.
In line with this, InJourney's collaboration with the Ministry of Creative Economy has been carried out since December 2024 and has become a strategic thing in developing the creative economy sector. Some of the collaboration programs that have been carried out include the implementation of games corners in collaboration with the community game developer at Terminal 3 of Soekarno Hatta Airport, the implementation of more than five activities at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) by building reading corner and merchandising store filled with works of art intellectual property (IP) local, as well as the implementation of the Jumbo activation collaboration at Prambanan Temple during the Eid holiday period of April 1-5, 2025.
Maya Watono said that strengthening the growth of the creative economy is in line with InJourney's role as a BUMN that focuses on being an agent of development to encourage MSMEs, local products, local IP, and creative arts communities.
"In Borobudur Temple, there are almost 2.000 MSMEs that we collaborate with, while in Prambanan Temple there are 600 MSMEs. In addition, in Prambanan Temple we also empower 1.400 local artists which is our commitment to grow the local economy in all our assets," said Maya.
Collaboration was also carried out at Prambanan Temple by presenting the Lebaran program at the Temple Kembali Fitri Sepenuh Hati enlivened by meaningful activities held at the Temple Tourism Park (TWC).
At TWC Prambanan, Pasar Medang is presented in collaboration with Jumbo, an animated character in an Indonesian adventure film. The presence of the Jumbo character in Kampung Bocah Pasar Medang is part of a collaboration between the Ministry of Creative Economy, InJourney and Visinema.
Various activities also enliven Kampung Bocah Pasar Medang, including Bhuvana Java with a unique experience of reading weton and Javanese dress code that can be worn for taking pictures or experiencing a different tourism experience. Here, there is also an experience to learn Javanese script briefly with recycled materials and a traditional game area.
In the animal park, visitors can also feed adorable pets. While Sasana Karya, a musical performance attraction and dance parade from Ramayana Prambanan Ballet dancers.
The Keraton Ratu Boko destination is enlivened by various traditional games that visitors can try, ranging from stilts, gangsing and others. In addition, visitors are entertained by the accompaniment of Srandul and Gejog Lesung music played by local artists.

The Manohara Hotel Yogyakarta presents two special offers, Hampers Eid Mubarak “Rantangan Tradisi Manohara” and Halal Bihalal Package. Both packages are designed to provide a special culinary experience with distinctive flavors, elegant atmosphere, and the comfort of premium services.
The presence of MSMEs and the involvement of communities and artists in tourism is very beneficial, not only as a tourist attraction, but also has a direct impact on the absorption of labor that supports local economic growth. This is expected to strengthen the tourism chain and increase local wisdom or hospitality of the Indonesian people.
President Director of PT TWC Febrina Intan said that collaboration between various parties is the key to growing a healthy ecosystem for tourism and local economic growth. Lebaran activities at the temple involve 2500 local MSMEs, 1500 local artists and 900 local workers around the destination.
"This collaborative effort is a sustainability step that we are implementing, where we not only maintain cultural heritage and tourism, but also build a strong ecosystem around it. The synergy between the company, the environment and the local community around it must continue to be maintained so that they can grow together, giving meaning to each other and having a broad impact on future generations," he concluded.
