Indonesian Vice President: Prambanan Area Please Keep It Clean During This Holiday Season

Indonesian Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka advised to maintain the cleanliness of the destination World Heritage Prambanan during the 2025 Eid holiday season. The Indonesian Vice President is confident that Prambanan Temple will be a favorite destination for tourists to visit during this year's Eid holiday season.

This was conveyed during his welcoming speech for the Tawur Agung Kesanga Saka Year 1947 activity at the Nandi Field, Prambanan Temple Tourism Park complex, Yogyakarta, Friday (28/3/2025). 

"Prambanan Temple is a national asset recognized by UNESCO. Therefore, we must maintain and take good care of it. I also have a message for regional heads, please maintain its cleanliness during this holiday season. Because I am sure Prambanan will be one of the favorite tourist destinations during this Eid holiday," he explained.

In his remarks, Vice President Gibran also expressed his pride in being able to attend this procession at a location that has high historical and spiritual value.

"I am happy to be here, in the midst of all of you, in the beautiful and lush courtyard of Prambanan Temple. It is located next to Sewu Temple, which is a symbol of tolerance between religious communities in Indonesia," he continued.

In the Tawur Agung Kesanga Saka Year 1947, he emphasized the diversity that is the strength of Indonesia. Like the moment of Nyepi and Lebaran which this year fall at almost the same time.

"We must also be grateful that in addition to natural wealth, our country is also blessed with extraordinary wealth, both ethnicity, religion, culture, customs and others. The name of diversity is our strength. Differences mature us. Differences unite us. Harmony and unity must be maintained together," he continued.

GM Prambanan and Ratu Boko Ratno Timur said that his party had prepared all supporting facilities and infrastructure such as vehicle parking areas, toilets and visiting routes. 

"We will fully support the Tawur Agung Kesanga activity by preparing facilities at our place, namely parking, we provide it at two points, at TWC Prambanan for people from Central Java and at the Ramayana Theater and Stage unit for people from the DI Yogyakarta area. We also prepare personnel for smooth flow, both traffic and operational services," he concluded.
