PT TWC Strengthens ESG Implementation Commitment
PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko or InJourney Destination Management is committed to encouraging the implementation of Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) in its work environment. The implementation of ESG covers various aspects that affect the long-term sustainability and social responsibility of the company, including environmental impact, social welfare, and good governance. This was expressed at the ESG Road Map Focus Group Discussion (FGD) event at the PT TWC Head Office for two days, from April 15-16, 2025.
In his remarks, Human Capital Development & Sustainability Group Head of PT Aviasi Pariwisata Indonesia (Persero) or InJourney Robby Saputra said that management pays special attention to the implementation of ESG throughout the InJourney Group. One strategic house for ESG is how tourism sustainable economy or tourism sustainability impacts the community's economy.
"One thing we need to understand is that ESG is not an option, but a must for us to implement. The goal is to achieve a sustainable economy. All our assets, Borobudur, Prambanan, Ratu Boko, TMII, must be able to have a positive impact on the environment, society and remain compliant with governance," he explained.
InJourney Group focuses on implementing ESG in every line of activity and is supported by all work divisions in the company. The steps of caring for the environment and society are expected to have an impact on society and maintain the environmental ecosystem, especially around the company.
"The assets we manage have the potential to be optimized and become an increase in the implementation of carbon emission reduction or net zero carbon. We appreciate the initiative taken by PT TWC. Hopefully, we have a road map for the next few years, where InJourney Group really becomes a company that focuses on improvements in ESG and sustainability," he continued.
Acting Corporate Secretary Group Head Destantiana Nurina said that joint responsibility is needed in implementing ESG which has become a necessity and obligation.
"Especially for us, managers of cultural heritage sites, who have an important position in maintaining historical values, the environment and the socio-economic sustainability of the communities around us," he explained.
Operation & HSSE Group Head IDM Leonardus Adityo Nugroho said that he hopes that the FGD ESG Road Map activity will be an important initial step in preparing a work plan that is focused, measurable and relevant to the operational context and company values.
"We hope that through this forum, valuable inputs, constructive views, and synergy between stakeholders will emerge. So that this ESG road map can truly be a strategic guide for the company's ESG implementation journey in the future," he concluded.
