PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko or InJourney Destination Management also participated in the agenda to commemorate 70 years of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Poland. The agenda held by the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Indonesia together with the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) Warsaw will also inaugurate a unique Indonesian cultural park entitled Bali Indah Cultural Park in the city of Slupsk, Poland on June 16, 2025.
The inauguration of Bali Indah Cultural Park is the culmination of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Poland. The development of Bali Indah is a symbol of friendship and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
IDM President Director Febrina Intan, who attended the event directly, said that the existence of the Bali Indah Cultural Park in Poland functions as a bridge between nations, cultures, and hearts.
“Today, I feel deep joy as I inaugurate the Bali Indah Cultural Park at the beautiful Dolina Charlottey Resort, in Slupsk. This initiative, spearheaded by the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Indonesia in Gdansk, Poland, Mr. Miroslaw Wawrowski, is truly extraordinary and a sincere tribute to Indonesia, built not in Jakarta or Bali, but in the heart of Poland,” he explained.
Bali Indah Cultural Park is a 15-hectare cultural complex located in the Dolina Charlotty Resort area in the city of Slupsk, Poland. The park is not only a new tourist destination, but also a strong symbol of the friendship and cultural cooperation that has flourished between the two countries over the past seven decades.
The complex will be the largest Balinese cultural center in Europe, integrating places of worship, traditional houses, an open-air theater, restaurants, art galleries, dance and painting studios, a fitness center, a travel agency and a showroom for Balinese furniture and handicrafts.
In the future, the development will include cultural representations from East Nusa Tenggara, Jakarta, and transform into the Indonesian Cultural Park in Poland. This area visualizes the comprehensive cultural richness of Indonesia and is strategically located in the heart of the European continent.
The inauguration of Bali Indah Cultural Park will also be enlivened by Indonesian cultural arts performances involving an epic collaboration from the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Denpasar, the DKI Jakarta Provincial arts team, as well as traditional Sasando music typical of East Nusa Tenggara and promises an immersive cultural experience for guests.
Not only a visual treat, this event will also showcase the rich collection of Indonesian Archipelago Heritage, as well as presenting a variety of mouth-watering local dishes. The special cuisine is part of the global campaign “Indonesia Spices Up the World”, an initiative that aims to introduce the richness of spices and the deliciousness of Indonesian cuisine to the world stage.
“Every detail of the Bali Indah Cultural Park, from the gate of Candi Bentar, to the taste of Indonesian cuisine, to the graceful movements of Balinese dance, celebrates not only Indonesia, but also our friendship with Poland. May this park become a place for Polish people and visitors from all over Europe to discover the soul of Indonesia.
The inauguration of Bali Indah Cultural Park will be attended by the Indonesian Minister of Culture, the Governor of Bali, the Governor of East Nusa Tenggara, the President Director of InJourney Destination Management, and the Expert Staff of Management of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Meanwhile, Polish officials who were also invited included the Minister of Culture, Minister of Sports and Tourism, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chair of the Poland-Indonesia Parliamentary Cooperation Group, Governor of Pomerania Province, and mayors from the Pomerania region of Poland.
In addition to attending the inauguration of Bali Indah Cultural Park, the IDM President Director also had the opportunity to attend the Indonesia–Poland Business Forum: Growing Opportunities in Economic Cooperation on June 17, 2025 in Gdansk, Poland. This activity will be attended by KADIN Indonesia, Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) Headquarters, Polish Chamber of Commerce, National Council of Special Economic Zones, Batang Industrial Park and Polish tour operators.
"This activity aims to bring together business people in the fields of trade, investment and tourism. The presentation titled “Rooted in Tradition, Focused on the Future; Inclusive Cultural and Heritage Destination Management” explained that the management presents Indonesian heritage and culture to the world through world-class experiences by connecting the past, present and future.
"Culture and tradition are not something to be preserved in silence, but something to be celebrated, shared, and developed together. The InJourney ecosystem is present through an inclusive and sustainable approach with four main pillars, namely spiritual, conservation, education and tourism," he continued.
The Government of the Republic of Indonesia emphasizes that tourism is one of the main components of Indonesia's economic growth in the future. Tourism also contributes to GDP from 4.1 percent to 6 percent in 2029, an increase in foreign exchange earnings targeted to rank 2nd highest in the world in 2029, and creates 30 million jobs in 2029.
From 2020 to 2024, Poland will make a significant contribution to Indonesia's tourism growth, with Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 114%, which reflects a substantial increase compared to previous years. This upward trend shows the growing interest of Polish tourists in Indonesia's rich cultural heritage and natural attractions.
According to data, Polish tourists coming to Indonesia experienced a significant increase of 53.900 tourists during 2024. This figure places Poland as the 9th largest market share of European tourists coming to Indonesia.
"Hopefully this is just the beginning of many other collaborations that will bring our two countries closer together. On behalf of InJourney and all Indonesian people, I express my deepest appreciation and congratulations. Thank you for believing in the beauty of Indonesia," he concluded.
