Ratu Boko Palace Becomes a Special Location for End of Year Graduation Celebrations
The Ratu Boko Palace destination, located in the hills of the Prambanan area, Sleman, with its diverse topography and pristine natural atmosphere with shady trees, is a unique feature of the cultural heritage which is estimated to have been built during the reign of Rakai Panangkaran (746-784 AD) from the Syailendra Dynasty.

This early childhood education institution in Yogyakarta held an unforgettable end-of-year graduation celebration for its students. This activity was attended by around 300 participants, consisting of students, parents, educators, and invited guests.
According to the Chairperson of the TCKN Foundation, Crista Trirahayu, the holding of this year-end graduation celebration is a direct, in-depth learning experience for children to get to know the richness of the culture and history of the archipelago. The selection of Ratu Boko as the location for the year-end celebration has a strong philosophical meaning, namely instilling a love for cultural heritage from an early age.
“This ancient site that used to be a palace, with all its splendor, symbolizes the beginning of a child’s educational journey. It is hoped that early childhood education will serve as the first “palace” in their lives, equipping and preparing them to explore the wider world,” he explained.
Crista said, Ratu Boko Palace is a very appropriate symbol to describe this important transition. This event reaffirms The Lilliput World's mission in forming character from an early age and instilling a love for the nation's cultural heritage.
“Our children not only graduated from early childhood school, but they also stepped from the first palace of education into the wider world,” said Crista Trirahayu, Chair of the TCKN Foundation, with emotion.
With the backdrop of an archaeological site that preserves traces of past glory, the event was full of solemnity and joy. The students performed various thematic performances that were tailored to the curriculum. Montessori.
Starting from children's drama, musical performances, to traditional dances typical of the archipelago, the entire series of performances are designed to highlight cultural values while expressing the learning outcomes and creativity of students throughout the year.
“Ratu Boko was once a place of learning, an educational center called Vihara Abhayagiri. A place where knowledge and wisdom were cultivated. Today, we bring our families here to experience that spirit of learning. To embrace this extraordinary cultural site. We also feel blessed by the natural beauty that exists in the middle of a busy city,” he explained.
In a meaningful atmosphere at Ratu Boko, in addition to giving awards to students who have completed early childhood education, this event also featured stunning thematic performances from other students.
The parents in attendance looked enthusiastic and proud as they watched their sons and daughters perform on the open stage with the beautiful scenery of Ratu Boko as the sun set. For most of them, this moment was their first experience of witnessing an educational celebration with such a strong and memorable cultural background.
