Migunani Tumraping Liyan, IDM Officially Inaugurates Construction of Two Livable Houses in Borobudur

InJourney Destination Management President Director Febrina Intan accompanied by the Director of PT Taman Wisata Borobudur Mardijono Nugroho inaugurated the construction of two habitable houses belonging to Narun (60 years old) a resident of Ngargogondo Village and Sarni (74 years old) a resident of Ngaran Hamlet, Borobudur, Magelang, Central Java, Friday (11/7/2025). The inauguration of the renovation of uninhabitable houses belonging to residents around Borobudur Temple is a series of events celebrating the 45th anniversary of PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko with tagline Migunani Tumraping Others.

The inauguration and handover of aid was marked by the signing of an inscription and the symbolic handover of house keys, which concluded with a direct inspection by all invited guests. The event was also attended by Kunta Mahendradatta, Head of the Magelang Regency Public Housing and Settlement Agency (DPRKP), and Subiyanto, Head of the Borobudur District.

IDM President Director Febrina Intan stated that the renovation program for uninhabitable houses demonstrates their concern for the community, especially those living in the company's environment and the destinations. This program also aligns with the values of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in poverty alleviation and improving the quality of life of communities living near the company and the Taman Wisata Candi (TWC) destinations.

"This Environmental Social Responsibility Program is more than just a physical structure; these homes are a symbol of new hope, dignity, and security for the beneficiaries. We are committed to continuing this program next year to reach more people and renovate uninhabitable homes, especially in our destination areas," he explained.

Febrina Intan is committed to ensuring that the IDM's presence impacts the well-being of local residents. This aligns with the spirit of Useful for the Rejection of Others or benefit others, during the 45th anniversary celebration of PT TWC. He also invited various parties to continue increasing collaboration in meaningful ways to improve the welfare of residents.

"The spirit is that what we receive must be given to those in need. Thank you for your collaboration and enthusiasm. Hopefully, this is the beginning of a positive journey that we can build together. Without assistance from the community, without cooperation from the authorities, this is a collaboration between various parties. Please pray for us, may we always bring benefits."

Borobudur Sub-district Head Subianto expressed his appreciation for PT TWC's initiative to renovate two uninhabitable houses in Borobudur, Magelang. He noted that this represents one of the benefits of quality tourism management in Borobudur.

"Thank you to InJourney for sharing this prosperity with us. Two of our residents have been given a welfare room, a house that I believe is very suitable for them to live in. This is a blessing for them," he explained.

Subianto continued that TWC's efforts need to be supported by various parties to make a positive impression on tourists and provide quality tourism management in the region.

"We often emphasize that tourism doesn't just happen by itself. This means that tourism must be developed, and the tourism atmosphere is crucial to its success. Be a good host when managing tourism. This means we must support what TWC does. Be a good host, maintain cleanliness, maintain hospitality, hospitality, is one of the keys to collaboration to develop tourism," he continued.

The owner of the house, Naruh (60 years old) and his wife, Yaminah (58 years old), were seen Bungalow when they symbolically received the keys to their renovated home. Their 24-year dream finally came true: having a decent home in their homeland.

A married couple work as coconut tappers. Every day, they climb other people's coconut trees to collect sap from the coconut buds, which is then processed into Javanese sugar. Each week, they can produce 5–6 kilograms of Javanese sugar, which they then sell for 22 rupiah per kilogram.

"Alhamdulillah, I'm very happy. We've been blessed by Allah. We express our deepest gratitude to TWC and everyone who has helped. Hopefully, this will inspire us to seek more income for our family," Yaminah explained.

Sarni (74 years old) repeatedly wiped away tears as she attended the inauguration of this habitable home. This single mother of three inherited her parents' house from the 1980s, which had never been renovated and was in dire condition.

This house, located on the east side of the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park, has now become a decent and comfortable residence.

"Thank you so much for this unexpected assistance. We can live more comfortably and safely, even though we now live here alone," he concluded.
