Developing Local Hospitality through IHH Sambirejo Prambanan Sleman Training
InJourney Destination Management, in collaboration with InJourney Airport, is presenting InJourney Hospitality House (IHH) training for tourism activists and MSMEs in the Prambanan area of Sleman, Yogyakarta. This training prepares participants to welcome tourists with authentic Indonesian hospitality, a foundation for implementing excellent service and achieving quality tourism.
The three-day training, from August 5–7, 2025, was attended by 120 participants, consisting of tourism activists and MSMEs in the Prambanan area, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Held at the Sambirejo Village Hall in Prambanan, the participants received several training materials, including how to behave and effective communication in service. (hospitality communication).
InJourney Destination Management Corporate Secretary Destantiana Nurina stated that the third batch of training in 2025 was made possible through a collaboration between IDM and InJourney Airports at Yogyakarta International Airport. She hopes this training will enhance the skills of travelers, enabling them to leave a positive impression on their destinations and the businesses they manage.
"Hopefully, this training will provide better service to guests and visitors, so they'll return, leaving behind impressions and memories, thanks to the good service, clean restrooms, and how to offer merchandise to visitors. We are certainly ready to support the entire community surrounding the destination. Hopefully, this training will further enhance skill, knowledge in hospitality," he explained.
Kus Endarto, Head of Marketing at the Sleman Tourism Office, stated that the Sambirejo area, in particular, and Prambanan in general, are national priority destinations and strategic tourism areas in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province. The village, home to several attractions, including Ijo Temple, Breksi Cliff, and the Gupolo Statue, will become even more popular with the opening of access routes connecting Sleman and Gunungkidul via Sambirejo.

The Head of Sambirejo Village, Prambanan, Sleman, Wahyu Nugroho, said that Sambirejo Village has a very high level of tourist visits, especially those managed by jeep Tourism. During the IHH training, he delegated various organizational groups in his village, including the jeep tourism community, BUMDes, Karang Taruna, Prima Village, Tourism Village, and Pokdarwis.
Through this training, he hopes to be able to improve assistance to tourists who go up. jeep, so that they are safe, comfortable and so that they can come back again.
