InJourney Group Shows Its Concern by Distributing Aid to Bali Flood Victims
State-owned aviation and tourism holding company PT Aviasi Pariwisata Indonesia (Persero), or InJourney, and its subsidiaries are distributing aid to flood victims in Bali as a form of concern and social responsibility. This assistance from the InJourney Group is expected to help ease the burden on Balinese residents affected by the floods and demonstrates a commitment to embodying the spirit of mutual cooperation, a noble national value.
"InJourney expresses its concern and condolences to the victims of the Bali floods and to the affected communities. Through this assistance, InJourney hopes that conditions in Bali will soon return to normal and that people can return to their normal activities. InJourney will always be there to help Bali recover and become a proud tourism destination for Indonesia," said Herdy Harman, InJourney's Director of Human Resources and Digital.
The distribution of aid from the InJourney Group for the Bali Flood Disaster Response was carried out in stages from September 12 to 18 in the most affected locations, namely Kesambiang Village, Dalung Village, Badung Market, Kesambi Village, Tohpati Hamlet, Kesiman Kertalangu Hamlet, Jawa Dauh Puri Village, and Batannyuh Hamlet.
The total aid provided by InJourney Group to Bali flood victims consisted of 712 food packages, 50 blankets, 50 mattresses, 34 rice cookers, and tableware. All aid was contributed by InJourney and its subsidiaries: InJourney Airports, InJourney Aviation Services, InJourney Hospitality, InJourney Destinations Management, and InJourney Tourism Development Corporation.
"The synergy between InJourney and its subsidiaries to help the Bali flood victims demonstrates that the InJourney Group is here to help those affected by disasters. We hope that InJourney's presence will continue to have a positive impact on the surrounding community," added Herdy Harman.
As a state-owned enterprise managing several tourism destinations in Indonesia, including Bali, InJourney focuses not only on tourism management but also on creating economic and social impacts on communities through sustainable tourism. It maintains strong synergy with the community through various programs, including its Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program.
"Making Bali a sustainable tourism destination is a shared responsibility. Through the contribution of all stakeholders, Bali can become a sustainable tourism destination, one that not only showcases its natural beauty but also creates a sense of security for tourists and economic sustainability for its residents," said Herdy Harman.
InJourney further hopes that Bali, as the backbone of Indonesia's economic and tourism growth, will recover quickly, so that both domestic and international tourists can once again enjoy the beauty of the Island of the Gods. Recovery involves not only addressing flood-affected areas but also addressing future disaster mitigation. Thus, Bali will once again be a beautiful, comfortable, and safe tourist destination.
