Improving Tourism Human Resources Capabilities through InJourney Hospitality House: Local Heroes

Tourism operators at destinations are continuously improving their capabilities. In addition to providing the best service to create memorable experiences for tourists, human resource development is essential as a way to enhance Indonesia's tourism image globally.

To support this, InJourney held the InJourney Hospitality House: Local Heroes event in Yogyakarta. This week-long event was attended by 17 participants. local heroes Of the eight destinations in Indonesia, including Lake Toba, Belitung, Yogyakarta, Magelang, Karimun Jawa, Banyuwangi, Bali and Labuan Bajo.

Training of Trainers (Early) local heroes This is a follow-up program to improve the skills and understanding of InJourney Hospitality House presenters who are active in providing training in Super Priority Tourism Destination areas.

In addition to providing material at the InJourney Hospitality House training, local heroes are expected to contribute positively to improving services at their destinations.

On the first day of InJourney Hospitality House: Local Heroes, participants were invited to enjoy the panoramic view from the summit of Borobudur Temple. Afterward, they also learned about the management of the Borobudur Balkondes and explored the potential of Borobudur's local MSMEs.

They visited Pawon Simbok, the rengginang cracker MSME owned by Bu Yatin, in Wanurejo Tourism Village, Borobudur District, Magelang. Afterward, they were invited to visit Ashfa Madu Borobudur, one of Borobudur's honey beekeepers.
