IDM Distributes Clean Water to Drought-Affected Residents in Gunungkidul

InJourney Destination Management distributed 28 tanker trucks of clean water, equivalent to 140 liters, to residents of Giripurwo Village, Purwosari Subdistrict, Gunungkidul Regency. This activity is part of its Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, which aims to help the community meet its clean water needs amidst the ongoing drought.

This aid was provided in response to the drought experienced by residents of Giripurwo Village in Gunungkidul Regency. Clean water is a primary need for residents to support various household activities.

"The drought has been going on for a long time because there are no water sources here, so when it rains, we only rely on rainwater," said Sumartilah, a resident of RT 4, Giripurwo Village, Gunungkidul, Wednesday (22/10/2025).

The head of the Mudo Makaryo Youth Organization, Suhartono, stated that the residents of Giripurwo Village are grateful for the clean water assistance distributed by PT TWC. The 140,000 liters of clean water provided by PT TWC has helped meet household water needs during the dry season and meet the needs of local residents.

"Of course, this assistance is very useful, very beneficial," said a resident representative.

Previously, PT TWC together with the Disaster Risk Reduction Forum (FPRB) had also distributed clean water in Borobudur District to 25 hamlets in eight villages, including Wringinputih, Tegalarum, Giritengah, Karanganyar, Kembanglimus, Ngadiharjo, Majaksingi, and Candirejo Villages.

This activity is a manifestation of PT TWC's commitment to supporting the fulfillment of clean water needs for communities experiencing drought due to the dry season and limited water sources in their area.
