The 2025 Sleman Regent's Cup Gateball Tournament Sustainably Combines Sport and Tourism
The 2025 Sleman Cup X Regent Gateball Tournament will once again bring excitement Sports Tourism at the Prambanan Temple Tourism Park. The tournament, held on November 1–2, 2025, at the Siwa Field of the Prambanan Temple Tourism Park (TWC), serves not only as a competition arena but also as a platform for cross-sector collaboration to foster a healthy lifestyle, strengthen community, and stimulate local tourism potential.
The 2025 Sleman Regent's Cup X Gateball Tournament featured participants from various provinces across Indonesia. For the Free Triple category, six teams from Yogyakarta, six from West Java, eight from East Java, ten from Central Java, and two from Jakarta participated. In the Free Team category, six teams from Yogyakarta, three from West Java, eight from East Java, thirteen from Central Java, one from Jakarta, and one from South Kalimantan participated.
"On behalf of the Sleman Regency Government, I personally support and welcome the 2025 Gateball X Open Tournament. This event is not only a competition, but also a forum for fostering sports habits and a healthy lifestyle in the community," said Sleman Regent Harda Kiswaya when opening the event on Saturday (1/11/2025).
Harda Kiswaya also appreciated the enthusiasm of the community and participants from various provinces who participated. He believes that gateball is now becoming a popular sport among the community, and he hopes this tournament will produce high-achieving athletes capable of competing at the national and international levels.
"Gateball isn't just a game that relies on precision hitting the ball; it also demands strategy, concentration, and strong teamwork. These values align with the spirit of regional development: supporting each other and working together to achieve common goals," added Harda Kiswaya.

Not only did this strengthen the spirit of healthy competition, it also opened up new economic opportunities by increasing tourist visits and highlighting local potential.
