Layung Senja Presents a Meditative Performance at Borobudur Temple

InJourney Destination Management (IDM) presents Layung Senja, a music performance initiative in the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park destination area, Magelang, Central Java, Saturday, February 14, 2026. The inaugural event is an exploratory space with a curation of local and national artists presenting a narrative, calming, and reflective repertoire.

In its first edition, Layung Senja presents a collaboration between the experimental electronic duo from Bandung, Bottlesmoker, with practitioners sound healing professional, Wiwit Sebrina. This performance is an audio-visual experiment that combines digital sound synthesizer with natural vibration tones that create an experience wellness immersive.

IDM Commercial Director Gistang Panutur explained that the presence of Layung Senja is a response to the needs of modern tourists who seek quality and depth of meaning in a destination.

"Layung Senja was born from our commitment to providing an intimate and calming music experience. Here, music is not just a performance, but also a medium for self-meditation. This aligns with Borobudur's identity, which is deeply rooted in spirituality and Mindfulness (wellness tourism)," he said, Wednesday (11/2/2026).

Bottlesmoker, consisting of Ryan Adzani (Nobi) and Anggung Suherman (Angkuy), is an experimental electronic group from Bandung that was founded in 2005. Through an approach they call... bio plant sonic frequenciesBottlesmokers don't just play instruments, they translate the biological life of plants into musical compositions.

In his creative process, Bottlesmoker records the microscopic movements of plants and translates them through audio devices into complex musical data. The plant's biological variables are converted into five technical categories: pitch, scale (major/minor), tempo, pitchand velocity (voice pressure).

The result is a blend synthesizer and natural sounds, including the rustling of the wind, birdsong, and the trickling of water, which produce frequencies of 200–1000 hertz. Research shows that this frequency range can stimulate brain waves for deep relaxation.

"Draft bio plant sonic frequencies "It's about listening to the sounds of living things that are often overlooked. When these plant sound frequencies are played in the quiet and magical environment of Borobudur, their resonance becomes much stronger. We felt this was the perfect setting for this biosonic experiment, where technology can bridge humanity's reconnection with nature and ourselves," said Anggung Suherman, also known as Angkuy, of Bottlesmoker.

Complementing Bottlesmoker's organic electronic textures, Wiwit Sebrina guides the audience into a deep dive through crystal singing bowlsWiwit presents a sound therapy dimension focused on releasing trauma and emotional tension.

This session is specifically designed to guide participants in relieving stress through high-frequency vibrations. crystal bowls able to realign the body's energy, support cell regeneration, and bring participants' brain waves into a deep meditative state.

“The high frequency vibrations generated by crystal bowls "It is believed to be able to realign the body's energy and bring participants' brain waves into a deep meditative state," explained Wiwit Sebrina.

Set against the majestic backdrop of Borobudur Temple at sunset, Layung Senja promises an immersive audio-visual experience. A blend of ambient electronic, field recordings, and acoustic vibrations healing bowls It is hoped that this can wash away urban fatigue, providing a reflective and deep sense of calm for every listener.

"This collaboration creates a sound ecosystem where music is not only present as audio entertainment, but as a catalyst for cell regeneration and inner healing," he concluded.
