Shinta Obong's Special Performance Celebrates TMII's 51st Anniversary

The Shinta Obong performance was a special performance to enliven the 51st anniversary of Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII). The atmosphere at the TMII Amphitheater suddenly transformed into a magical atmosphere as the melancholy strains of gamelan music began to play. The figure of the goddess Shinta, dressed in pure white, was visualized as she languished in Rahwana's captivity in the Alengka Kingdom.

The drama culminates after the great battle, when Shinta is confronted by Rama's doubts about her purity while in the hands of Rahwana. To maintain her dignity and prove the purity of her love, Shinta bravely accepts the sacred ritual of self-immolation.

The amphitheater stage was transformed into a sea of ​​flames. Flaming props and dazzling fire dance performances kept the audience gripped with suspense. 

Instead of being burned, Dewi Shinta emerged from the flames unscathed. Thunderous applause from hundreds of spectators concluded the performance, which not only delivered visual aesthetics but also a profound moral message about steadfastness.
