InJourney Destination Management Wins TOP CSR Awards 2026, Underscoring Commitment to Sustainable Tourism

InJourney Destination Management (IDM) won an award at the 2026 TOP CSR Awards event in the TOP CSR Awards category. # Corporate Level – STAR 4 and TOP Leader on CSR Commitment 2026 in Jakarta, Monday (May 25, 2026). This award recognizes IDM's commitment to implementing sustainable corporate social and environmental responsibility programs.

This award demonstrates InJourney Destination Management's consistent positive impact on the communities and environment surrounding the destinations it manages. As the manager of several leading national tourism destinations, IDM continues to develop various programs for community empowerment, cultural preservation, local economic strengthening, MSME development, education, and environmental conservation, all focused on sustainability.

Strategic policies in implementing CSR are stated in corporate governance that applies sustainability risks (sustainability risk) which includes three main aspects, namely environmental, social, governance (ESG). This is a crucial factor in investment decisions because it can directly impact long-term financial performance.

As a manager of a world heritage destination, sustainability risk is a key instrument in every strategic decision-making process. These environmental, social, and cultural sustainability risks are part of governance and influence the direction of the company's strategic decisions.

This strategic policy is presented by developing the IDM ESG roadmap for 2026–2030. This roadmap serves as a reference for implementing ESG values ​​within the company, involving all units and work units, encompassing environmental, social, and governance aspects.

IDM implements green operations as part of its sustainability efforts for energy efficiency and emissions reduction. This is demonstrated through an MoU on Solar Panels in the Borobudur Art Village, the implementation of electric-vehicle at the destination, installation of biogas and management of waste into compost.

The impact is recorded in improving the company's economy, environment, social and reputation. In the economic sector, the implementation of waste management system By processing 70 kg of organic waste per day, it is then reused for fertilization in the gardens within the Taman Wisata Candi area. This creates a circular economy by adding value to the waste generated at the destination.

In the environmental sector, based on the 2022/2024 Net Zero Emission Study and independent emissions and environmental data inventory in 2025, IDM is in a state of naturally occurring net zero emissions (net-zero by natureThis condition is supported by the carbon absorption capacity of the green open spaces and natural landscapes within the area. The company's emissions are 5,000 to 6,000 tons of CO₂e per year, while natural carbon absorption reaches approximately 25.000 tons of CO₂e per year.

Priority CSR programs for 2025 include Cipta Ambara Budaya, InJourney Hospitality House, and Sanggar Lestari Cagar Budaya. Cipta Ambara Budaya is attended by 100 MSMEs from three sub-districts located near Prambanan Temple and Ratu Boko Palace. This activity aims to increase the capacity of MSMEs to support quality tourism activities in the Prambanan Temple and Ratu Boko Palace areas. 

InJourney Destination Management itself has held 23 InJourney Hospitality House training courses in various regencies, including Sleman, Kulon Progo, Purworejo, Klaten, and Magelang, with a total of 2.100 participants from 2023 to December 2025.

The Sanggar Lestari Cagar Budaya training aims to improve the capabilities of conservation practitioners, from restorers, maintenance workers, conservation technicians, to tourism service officers such as customer service and security.

In 2025, IDM achieved a Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) score of 4,62 and a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 61%. This indicates excellent customer satisfaction and is supported by a high level of loyalty, with the majority of customers tending to recommend IDM to others. This reflects the quality of service and positive customer experience and contributes to the ongoing strengthening of IDM's image and reputation.

Through various empowerment and preservation programs that are consistently implemented, IDM strives to ensure that the growth of the tourism sector can go hand in hand with improving community welfare and preserving cultural heritage and the environment.

The implementation of ESG principles continues to be the foundation for the development of destinations managed by IDM. The success of destination management is measured not only by tourist visits but also by the company's ability to provide a sustainable positive impact for all stakeholders.

The TOP CSR Awards is an award event given to companies that are deemed successful in implementing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs effectively, strategically, and sustainably. 

The assessment is based on the alignment of the CSR program with the company's strategy, its contribution to the implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, and its support for the national development agenda and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
