Borobudur Symphony Mariah Carey Live in Concert 2018

The Borobudur Symphony is an international-standard musical performance held for the umpteenth time in the Borobudur Temple courtyard. This musical performance represents a long-term synergy effort by BUMN Hadir Untuk Negeri (State-Owned Enterprises Hadir Untuk Negeri) to introduce Indonesian tourism to the international world, particularly state-owned tourism destinations, as a form of cultural diplomacy and a new force to strengthen national branding.

Borobudur Symphony will combine two masterpieces, namely Borobudur Temple, which is a cultural heritage of the nation's children that has been recognized internationally, with a masterpiece of international-standard musical art, with the hope that this performance will become an alternative musical performing arts & a new, more refreshing tourist destination while always showcasing the beauty & wisdom of local culture, namely Borobudur Temple.

For the first time, the Borobudur Symphony will feature Mariah Carey, the international diva who has won five Grammy Awards, 19 World Music Awards, 11 American Music Awards, and 14 Billboard Music Awards. Carey will perform before an audience set against the backdrop of the beauty of Borobudur Temple, the pinnacle of Indonesian architectural engineering and artistic aesthetics.
