Visits to the Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko Temple Tourism Park destinations are dominated by domestic tourists from the Jabodetabek, West Java, East Java, Medan and other areas. Visitors are dominated by family groups who make the TWC Borobudur and TWC Prambanan destinations their main tourist destinations during the 2024 Eid holiday.

InJourney Destination Management Marketing and Business Development Director Hetty Herawati said that the TWC destination is still a magnet for tourist visits during the 2024 Eid holiday season. The charm of the World Cultural Heritage tourist destination is still in demand for vacations with family or relatives while diving into the majesty and depth of the noble meaning of the historical stories of the nation's ancestors.

"If we look closely, the number of tourist visits to TWC destinations tends to decrease compared to 2023. In line with the general decline in visits, there are many possible factors that are the cause, including changes in travel trends, national economic factors, the growth of local tourist destinations, and others. However, people's interest in traveling remains high and is still positive to support the improvement of the national economy," explained Hetty Herawati.

In this #LebarandiCandi moment, InJourney Destination Management presents Pasar Medang in the TWC Prambanan area with the theme Kelana Cerita Tanah Jawa from April 11-15, 2024. Pasar Medang has succeeded in attracting tourist visits. Around 12.000 tourists enjoyed the excitement of the series of events held in its three main areas, namely Bhuvana Java, Cipta Aksara and Sasana Karya.

One of the visitors to Medang Market, Dani (34 years old) admitted that the interesting thing for him while in this area was being able to enjoy culinary delights while reminiscing about legendary Indonesian music.

"The interesting thing for me in the Medang market is that there is a cultural dance festival, my child is also enthusiastic. His parents can reminisce with old school music while enjoying delicious snacks here. So here it's not just a walk, but also can educate children about history and culture," he explained.

Pasar Medang presents 33 Indonesian culinary tenants consisting of 26 old tenants collaborating with Pasar Lawasan Mataram and 7 new tempting tenants including Beer Jawa, sate kere and others. In addition, Pasar Medang also embraces five MSMEs around Prambanan Temple, consisting of souvenir business actors and children's game activists. In addition, Pasar Medang also collaborates with the Sekartaji Wayang Beber Museum community, Tapi.Aku.suka, Trag Studio, and Master Wong.

The Borobudur Temple Tourism Park destination as a World Cultural Heritage complex is crowded with tens of thousands of visitors. Meanwhile, the quota of 1200 tourists to climb Borobudur Temple is fulfilled every day throughout the 2024 Eid holiday season.

Other tourists can enjoy the splendor of Borobudur Temple from a distance while enjoying the attractions of local arts and cultural performances and Edukriya workshops with local Borobudur craftsmen.

"InJourney Destination Management would like to thank all parties who have collaborated well to provide excellent service for every tourist visiting all destinations including the Yogyakarta Regional Police, Central Java Regional Police, Kodim 0732 Sleman, Kodim 0705 Magelang, Central Java, and the local Transportation Agency. Hopefully this collaboration can continue to run to provide comfortable tourist destinations and encourage an increase in the quality of tourism in Indonesia," concluded Hetty Herawati.
