New Directors of PT TWC Build Optimism in Facing Post-Pandemic
The Board of Directors , VPs, and managers of PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko attended the introduction of the Director of Finance, Risk Management, and HR of PT TWC, Mohamad Nur Sodiq, in the VIP Room, PT TWC Head Office, Yogyakarta, Monday (19/9/2022).
This appointment is based on a copy of the Decree of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Number: SK-194/MBU/09/2022 and the Decree of the President Director of PT Aviasi Pariwisata Indonesia (Persero) Number: Kep.INJ.03.06/23/09/2022/A.0025 concerning the Dismissal and Change of Position Nomenclature, Transfer of Duties, and Appointment of Members of the Board of Directors of PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko.
PT TWC President Director Edy Setijono stated that the new board of directors should act as an accelerator toward PT TWC's future vision. This requires support from top-tier human resource talent, sound financial management policies, and the implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG).
"Changes in business models and a number of other challenges that await need to be addressed carefully and professionally. The presence of this new board of directors can be an accelerator and new encouragement to face this. Hopefully, the presence of Mr. Sodiq can provide assistance, policies and direction to face future challenges," he explained.
Director of Finance, Risk Management and HR of PT TWC Mohamad Nur Sodiq in his speech appreciated PT TWC's steps, especially in dealing with the pandemic crisis wisely and professionally. For him, this could be a starting point to accelerate and revive the tourism sector in Indonesia.
"I appreciate the company's policy of maintaining employee retention and not laying off employees. This is extraordinary and certainly something to be grateful for. Hopefully, this will be a stepping stone to even greater strides," he explained.
Mohamad Nur Sodiq is optimistic that PT TWC can continue to move forward, transform with new business models and help develop the destinations it manages. This is also supported by the ongoing destination development projects and product innovations that tourists are waiting for. For him, investment that creates production tools is important for the sustainability of the company.
"We must build optimism and enthusiasm to recover. We're financially sound. We're maintaining our investments, and I believe that investment in creating production equipment is crucial. I'm optimistic that TWC will improve even further in the future," he concluded.
