TWC CEO Wins 2022 Best CEO Award
The Covid-19 pandemic has completely changed the order of life and business development. On the other hand, the pandemic has also accelerated the company's transformation process. Companies are required to be able to change their business models and drive the digitalization process massively and quickly.
Leadership that drives corporate performance while being able to orchestrate existing potential is needed so that companies can continue to survive and move forward. Strong leadership in implementing strategies to improve performance is one of the challenges during this pandemic.
In the midst of the current transformation, PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko as a BUMN also provides its best contribution to support the government's program in accelerating the economic recovery process towards the post-pandemic era.
President Director of PT TWC Edy Setijono received the award as Indonesia Best CEO in Heritage Park at the Employees Choice Award 2022 from The Iconomics at Artotel Suites Mangkuluhur, Jakarta, Wednesday (20/4/2022). This award is a form of appreciation for the positive performance that has been achieved during the pandemic.
"I would like to express my gratitude for the appreciation given. This is a form of trust in PT TWC's positive performance in transforming its business and synergizing with various parties, orchestrating the tourism world so that it can quickly recover to the post-pandemic era," explained Edy Setijono in Jakarta, Wednesday (20/4/2022).
The assessment of Indonesia Best CEO Awards 2022 Employees' Choice is a combination of four main parameters, namely popularity, competence, leadership in times of crisis and personality. The assessment was carried out through a survey of 8.000 employees from January 2022 to March 2022.
Respondents were asked to rate their institution's CEO and were allowed to rate other institution's CEOs in similar industry/activity categories. Meanwhile, candidate selection was based on Iconomics' editorial choice.
During this pandemic, PT TWC faces challenges, both due to the closure of destinations due to PPKM regulations from the government and the management and revitalization of TMII towards The Showcase of Indonesia's Beauty.
This drives corporate potential, both in HR management, digitalization processes and collaborative actions to achieve a continuously evolving vision.
"Of course, our success in getting through this pandemic is also supported by collaborative efforts that we will continue to do in the future. We are collaborating with many parties to participate in supporting the development of cultural heritage-based tourism in Indonesia," he concluded.
