Supporting the Implementation of the 20 Indonesian G2022 Presidency, PT TWC Receives Appreciation from the Minister of SOEs

PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko received an Award of Appreciation for State-Owned Enterprises' Support at the G20 from State-Owned Enterprises Minister Erick Thohir at the Sasono Utomo and Sasono Langen Budoyo Buildings, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Jakarta, Tuesday (11/29/2022). This award, in the Partnership category, was presented to state-owned enterprises that contributed to the G20 Summit and its accompanying side events .

The event titled BUMN Support Appreciation Night in G20 was attended by officials from the Ministry of BUMN as well as BUMN Directors and employees involved in the preparation and implementation of the Indonesian G20 Presidency series. This moment also serves as a means to strengthen and improve communication and sustainable collaboration.

PT TWC hosted various side events at the 2022 Indonesian G20 Presidency, including the G20 Education Working Group (EdWG), the G20 on Environment Deputies Meeting and Climate Sustainability Working Group (EDM-CSWG) and the G20 Energy Transition Working Group (ETWG), the G20 Women-20 (W-20), the Music G20 (M20) Summit Conference , Rhapsody of The Archipelago (ROAR) 2022 and the G20 Religion Forum (R20).

As a heritage destination manager, PT TWC supports the G20 as a program to advance the tourism industry in Indonesia. All destinations hosting G20 events include Prambanan Temple Tourism Park (TWC), Borobudur Temple Tourism Park, Rama Shinta Garden Resto, Manohara Borobudur Study Center, and Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII).

PT TWC President Director Edy Setijono stated that Indonesia's 2022 G20 Presidency will stimulate the tourism sector and its supporting services. With the theme " Recover Together, Recover Stronger, " the 2022 G20 Presidency provides a momentum to activate quality tourism initiatives to support tourism recovery towards the post-pandemic era.

"Since the end of last year, we have been focused on preparing to welcome the G20. Regional preparations have been carried out by collaborating with a number of related stakeholders. Alhamdulillah, everything went smoothly and could be a momentum to develop quality tourism in Indonesia," he explained, Thursday (1/12/2022).

PT TWC invited the G20 delegates to experience the travel experience offered at each of its leading destinations, including dinner with a panoramic view of the Prambanan Temple complex, sunrise at Borobudur Temple, and watching the colossal Ramayana Ballet and Roro Jonggrang Dance Drama performances.

During the G20 series of events which are still during the pandemic, PT TWC continues to implement strict health protocols for G20 delegates by limiting mobility and interactions between participants and other tourists.

"We thank all parties who helped with the agendas in our destinations. The entire team who have worked hard to present quality offerings, shows and travel experiences are at the forefront of determining the satisfaction of the delegates," he concluded.

Previously, at the appreciation night event, Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir expressed his appreciation to various parties for their dedication in making the G20 Summit a success.

"I must give my appreciation, behind the successful implementation of this world event, many parties have worked incredibly hard to make it a success," he said.
