IIKK TWC Celebrates 17th Anniversary
The Association of Female Employees' Wives (IIKK) of PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) held a tumpeng cutting ceremony in celebration of its 17th anniversary, Saturday (15/2/2020). The ceremony held at Amanah Agrowisata, Tawangmangu Area, Karanganyar, Central Java, in addition to celebrating the anniversary, was also filled with studies of agricultural and fisheries areas in the 9-hectare agrotourism complex.
"We all spread kindness. Today is symbolic of cutting tumpeng, this is a sign that we must spread benefits. We personally must have good knowledge. We must know how to face the future life." Explained the Chairperson of IIKK TWC Heriyanti Suzana Edy Setijono in her speech.
After carrying out the tumpeng cutting procession, IIKK members then visited the Amanah agrotourism land. The land located on the slopes of Mount Lawu has the characteristics of a cool and terraced mountainous area. In the Amanah Agrotourism area, IIKK members learned about organic farming. Vegetables and fruits produced here are all the main ingredients for all dishes at Amanah Agrotourism.
"None of our harvests are sold outside. All of our harvests are consumed by ourselves for our restaurant's needs. This is to instill pride in our own products," said Mahmud, one of the tour guides of this destination.
In addition to agriculture, Amanah also has livestock breeding, fisheries and waste processing facilities. All of these are part of an ecosystem that helps each other maintain environmental balance in this place. Previously, IIKK TWC conducted social services to SLB Bhakti Pertiwi in Bokoharjo, Prambanan, Sleman. In that activity, a number of assistances were given in the form of three sewing machines, two washing machines and three clothes irons. This assistance is an independence program for students at the school.
