This Social and Environmental Responsibility activity is part of the commitment to be involved in improving the quality of education in Indonesia, especially around the Borobudur Temple World Heritage area.

This activity is in accordance with the education pillar of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) or Sustainable Development Goal 4, namely by ensuring that the community, especially in the Borobudur area, gets equal, quality, and inclusive access to education. This is also in line with the Asta Cita program of the Red and White Cabinet of the Republic of Indonesia Government, namely the development of human resources through improving the quality of education, health, and access to technology.

InJourney's HR and Digital Director Herdy Harman emphasized InJourney's active role in supporting the improvement of education quality in Indonesia. This program targets schools located around the InJourney Group's operational areas, by providing support for more appropriate, inclusive, and inspiring educational facilities and infrastructure.

"The commitment of InJourney together with our subsidiary, InJourney Destination Management (IDM), as the manager of the Borobudur Temple Area supports improving the quality of education in Indonesia, one of which is by encouraging literacy behavior by presenting school libraries as more comfortable, interesting, and enjoyable learning spaces for students," he explained.

The renovation of the SD Muhammadiyah Borobudur library is not just about improving physical facilities, but also paying attention to aspects of comfort and aesthetics to support a fun learning process. The library walls are also decorated with colorful educational murals that stimulate children's imagination. The reading room is equipped with colorful chairs and soft carpets that allow students to read in various positions, including while lying down, making the reading experience a relaxing and enjoyable activity.

Not only that, as many as 300 new books with various themes, ranging from children's fiction, science, to character development books have been neatly arranged on easy-to-reach shelves. The book arrangement system is also designed so that children can easily find the books they are interested in while learning to rearrange them neatly.

Director of Finance and Risk Management Joel Siahaan said that this activity is a real manifestation of InJourney Destination Management in building a sustainable, inclusive tourism ecosystem that has a positive impact on the community around the destination.

"We believe that education is the main foundation for the future of the nation. Literacy is the key to unlocking potential and opportunities, and we want to be part of that journey. So, through this program, we are here not only to beautify the reading room, but also to present a more meaningful learning experience for children," he explained.

The school welcomed the assistance and attention given by InJourney. The principal of Muhammadiyah Borobudur Elementary School, Puji Utami, thanked the assistance given. He hopes that through this assistance, students' curiosity can be increased through reading activities in a more comfortable library.

"The new library is much more comfortable and enjoyable. Children are now more enthusiastic about coming to the library, even outside of school hours. This is a big step in fostering a reading culture from an early age," explained Puji Utami.

Meanwhile, Director of PT Taman Wisata Borobudur Mardijono Nugroho emphasized the importance of company involvement in developing local communities around the national tourism area.

"As the manager of a cultural and historical destination such as Borobudur Temple, we feel a responsibility to help build the surrounding community, especially in the field of education. We hope that this library can be an inspiring learning center, as well as a growing space for children's creativity and enthusiasm for reading," he explained.
