Collaboration to Improve Capabilities of Restorers and Maintenance Staff in the Prambanan Temple Area
InJourney Destination Management collaborated with the Cultural Conservation Center (BPK) Region X to hold a Training for Restorers and Caretakers in the Prambanan Temple area. The two-day training is expected to increase the capabilities and professionalism of the Restorers and Caretakers who are at the forefront of preserving cultural heritage objects in the Prambanan Temple area.
"We believe that what can be enjoyed by many visitors, learned from, and absorbed from its meaning, would not be possible without the contribution of all of you. I hope that this activity can add to the treasury of new knowledge and increase the enthusiasm of all of you," explained Corporate Secretary of IDM Ryan Eka Permana Sakti when opening this activity at the Prambanan Museum, Thursday (22/8/2024).
The participants, consisting of restorers and maintenance staff from Prambanan Temple, Sewu Temple, and Plaosan Temple, received a number of materials presented by several competent speakers, including materials on the restoration and maintenance of cultural heritage objects, techniques and methods for documenting cultural heritage objects, health culture and Occupational Safety (K3) and mancakrida.
Head of General Affairs of BPK Region X Winarto appreciated the collaborative efforts made by IDM to increase the capacity of Restorers and Maintenance Officers in the work area of BPK Region X.
"Hopefully this activity can increase knowledge, enrich the insights of the Restorers and Caretakers in the Prambanan Temple area. We hope this effort can continue and be developed in the future," he explained.
Meanwhile, GM Prambanan & Ratu Boko hope that this synergy can continue to be established and well maintained in the future, so that efforts to preserve temples in the Prambanan area can continue to run optimally.
"Together we preserve Prambanan Temple so that it can be maintained and utilized properly, without damaging the cultural heritage itself. So, Prambanan Temple can be enjoyed together with efforts to preserve and utilize it properly and correctly," he concluded.
