MINISTRY OF TOURISM AND CREATIVE AFFAIRS VISIT TO PT TWC HEAD OFFICE

Corporate Secretary of PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) Emilia Eny Utari together with Head of SPI Widaryanti and GM of TWC Prambanan Unit Aryono Hendro Malyanto received a visit from the Minister's Expert Staff for Crisis Management of the Ministry of Tourism & Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) Hengky Manurung at the Pendopo of the PT TWC Head Office, Friday (4/12/2020).

The visit of the Kemenparekraf delegation was to conduct an audience with tourism BUMNs that were also affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. As is known, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) has started implementing the Tourism Grant Fund Program in order to help the sustainability of the tourism industry economy.

One of the Tourism Grant Programs is the Cleanliness, Health, Safety and Environmental Sustainability (CHSE) Certification. This program has been implemented by all destinations under PT TWC with perfect results.

“We would like to thank you for the certification program from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. All of our destinations participated and received satisfactory scores, sir. Even Mr. Wishnutama congratulated us directly through his personal Instagram account. This has all helped us a lot in running our business during this pandemic,” explained Emilia Eny Utari.

Meanwhile, Hengky Manurung and his team visited TWC to see the condition of the tourism world directly in the field. "We want to see firsthand the condition of tourism objects in Prambanan in particular. We also want to get direct information related to this tourism. We will use this as material to then formulate what assistance we can provide next year." Hengky Manurung explained.

As a management company of one of the super priority destinations in Indonesia, PT TWC has implemented strict protocol standards during this pandemic. One of the things that has been done is limiting the visitor quota every day.

"In Prambanan, we have 3500, while in Borobudur we have 4.000. Under normal conditions, we can accommodate almost 11.000 visitors. So this pandemic has had a big impact on the company. We hope that in 2021 the conditions will be even better," Emilia continued.

PT TWC hopes that with the current situation of visitor restrictions, there will be a revitalization and competency improvement program from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy to prepare better destinations when conditions start to return to normal. "Maybe we can create standardization and certification of guides for super priority destinations by providing training for guides who will be on duty in super priority destination areas, so that in the future they can provide optimal service when conditions start to return to normal," he said.
