Visit of Indonesian Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno to Ramayana Prambanan Ahead of ASEAN Tourism 2023

One of the largest international events, the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2023 is ready to be held. The event, which will take place from 2-5 February 2023, is planned to be attended by 10 ASEAN countries as well as India, Japan, China, South Korea and Russia.

Indonesian Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno visited the Ramayana Theater and Stage complex to ensure the readiness of the destination as the location for the ATF 2023 opening ceremony which is planned to be opened directly by Indonesian President Joko Widodo. Sandiaga appreciated the completeness of the infrastructure in Yogyakarta and the synergy between aspects.

The ATF 2023 activity is a positive step towards the revival of Indonesian tourism, especially in Yogyakarta. It is expected that 1.500 - 2.000 tourists can visit Yogyakarta with the potential for transactions and money turnover reaching 100 million dollars. This event is a momentum to promote quality tourism which is one of the main factors in the revival of the Indonesian economy.
