Visit of PT Pelindo 1 to Maaruf Batik, a Partner of PKBL TWC

Visiting the Fostered Partners of Taman Wisata Candi, Pelindo 1 Finance Director Farid Luthfi "We Will Develop This to Advance Pelindo 1 Fostered Partners"

PT Pelindo 1 visited its fostered partner PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) today, Thursday, February 22, 2018. The fostered partner visited was Ma'ruf Batik located in Dusun Karang Gumuk, Jarum, Bayat, Klaten, Central Java. Ma'ruf Batik makes batik furniture, batik handicrafts and batik cloth. The group from Pelindo 1 was led by Pelindo 1 Finance Director Farid Luthfi.

“We are very happy and very grateful to the Taman Wisata Candi team who have facilitated us all to visit Mr. Harjo's place. What Mr. Harjo has explained is very inspiring for us and later we will develop it at Pelindo 1. Especially earlier in order to advance fostered partners through BLANJA.com. I also saw earlier from Mr. Edy's explanation some of what was done in order to improve the quality, marketing for his fostered partners. This is very inspiring for us and later after returning from here we want to develop, gather our fostered partners to imitate, to copy what is here so that we hope that everything can progress together. Farid Luthfi explained that Pelindo 1's fostered partners are heterogeneous. Some are around the port engaged in fishing, in Pekanbaru many are plantations. Specifically, those in Klaten are in Aceh. These fostered partners make bags that are almost batik, but their marketing is not as advanced as those in Pak Harjo. Marketing is the obstacle.

"What Pelindo will do, of course if we can advance our fostered partners, it will certainly grow economic growth. Especially the first one is to grow its own economy. Then if it develops its environment, maybe if we do this together, the multiplier effect economically will show everything. This is our hope," said Farid Luthfi.

Meanwhile, Head of PKBL Division of PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) Bambang Sarwo Eddy explained that during this visit, PT Pelindo 1 could see the batik making process and get some tips to advance fostered partners.

“During this visit, there were several questions from participants regarding tips for fostered partners to progress. Mr. Harjo explained several tips for improvement. PT TWC Alhamdulillah was able to receive Pelindo 1 at Mr. Harjo's place. We are happy, hopefully this can lead to more cooperation in the future. We are sharing knowledge first as part of the BUMN Synergy and the BUMN Hadir Untuk Negeri program. " said Bambang Sarwo Eddy.
