Tens of Thousands of Tourists Visit the Temple Park During the 80th Indonesian Independence Day Holiday
PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko or InJourney Destination Management recorded 46.814 tourists visiting the Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko destinations during the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia holiday from August 15–19, 2025.
Over the weekend, which included a joint leave period, Borobudur Temple Park attracted 15.553 visitors. Prambanan Temple Park recorded 29.731 visitors. Meanwhile, Ratu Boko Palace attracted 1.530 visitors.
The Prambanan Temple Tourism Park destination recorded its peak tourist arrivals on August 19, 2025, with a total of 7996 visitors. Meanwhile, on August 17, 2025, the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park destination saw its peak arrivals at 4036 tourists, and on August 461, XNUMX, the Ratu Boko Palace reached XNUMX visitors.
Carrying the theme "August 17th at the Temple," this event presents a celebration of independence in the spirit of togetherness. Besides commemorating the struggles of national heroes, this event is also designed as an educational recreation space and interactive entertainment for tourists of all ages. The August 17th celebrations at the temple were enlivened by the Jiwa Raga Merdeka (Freedom of Spirit) activity, a fun exercise program held at the Prambanan Temple Tourism Park.
