Collaborative Performance of Borobudur Tourism Actors' Sons and Daughters and ISI Yogyakarta Students in Borobudur Runs Lively

PT Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko Temple Tourism Park (Persero) collaborated with the Faculty of Performing Arts, ISI Yogyakarta to stage the colossal performance Asah Asih Asuh Masuh Rerusuh at Lumbini Park, Borobudur Temple Tourism Park complex, Magekang, Central Java, Sunday (19/12/2021).

The performance by the sons and daughters of tourism actors in Borobudur and students of ISI Yogyakarta aims to show the public that the pandemic is not a barrier to the process and increasing artistic talents and interests to support tourism in Borobudur.

The Talent Sharpening Program, which is PT TWC's Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL), provides space for children of tourism actors in the Borobudur area to discover their talents and abilities through artistic activities such as dance and theater.

President Director of PT TWC Edy Setijono appreciated the performance that combines dance and theater. According to him, this program is a form of PT TWC's dedication to the development of children's talents in the Borobudur area.

"If you pay attention to the business, the government has done a lot. We pay attention to their families, especially their children. So we provide positive activities for them by providing assistance in this extraordinary creative dance choreography activity," he said.

Edy Setijono hopes that this performance can be one of the contributors to tourist attractions in Borobudur. "The theme that describes the pandemic period is very good. Hopefully this performance can be enjoyed by many parties, and become one of the contributors to attractions after the pandemic in Borobudur," he said.

Vice Chancellor III of ISI Yogyakarta, Muhamad Sholahuddin, said that this colossal performance was the result of the Independent Learning Independent Campus (MBKM) Program carried out by ISI Yogyakarta students in collaboration with PT TWC.

"The MBKM program allows students to carry out independent projects and the result is mentoring in the field of art for children of tourism actors in the Boroburu Temple area and becomes the beginning for creating other art products," he explained.
