Prioritize Developing a Quality Work Environment, PT TWC Awarded the 3 SMK2024 Gold Predicate
PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko successfully achieved a gold predicate with a score of 90,63% in the audit process of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SMK3) in the office area and tourist destination of Taman Wisata Candi (TWC).
The results of this audit are evidence of a high commitment to safety, health, security and comfort in the PT TWC work environment. In addition, this achievement positions the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park (TWC), Prambanan TWC and Ratu Boko TWC as the first destinations in Indonesia to achieve the gold predicate for this SMK3 audit.
According to Operation & HSSE Group Head PT TWC Leonardus Adityo Nugroho, the success in achieving the gold predicate indicates that PT TWC not only meets the minimum standards, but also implements best practices in SMK3 management.
"This achievement is an important step in creating a safe and comfortable work environment and tourist destination for all parties. This is a top priority in creating a safe, efficient and productive workplace and presenting a professional tourist destination to present a quality and meaningful visit experience," he explained.
This external audit in synergy with PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia successfully completed 64 audit criteria covering various aspects of occupational safety and health as stated in PP Number 50 of 2012 including, development and maintenance of commitment, creation and documentation of K3 plans, control of contract design and review, document control, product purchasing and control, work safety based on SMK3, monitoring standards, reporting and correction of deficiencies, management of materials and their movement, collection and use of data, SMK3 inspection, and development of skills and abilities.
Based on PP Number 50 of 2012, the implementation of SMK3 audits aims to increase the effectiveness of planned, measurable, structured, and integrated occupational safety and health protection by involving management and workers with the aim of creating a safe, comfortable, and efficient workplace to encourage productivity.
"We are committed to providing a quality work environment and tourist destination by implementing strict rules related to security, safety to encourage comfortable visits. Hopefully this will be a catalyst for the development of increasingly quality tourism," he concluded.
