PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) Holds Service Simulation with Health Protocols
Edy Setiono, President Director of PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero), led a service simulation with health protocols at the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park on Tuesday, June 16, 2020. The simulation was also attended by Indah Juanita, President Director of the Borobudur Authority Agency (BOB), along with officials from several agencies, including the Borobudur Conservation Center and Mount Merapi National Park.
In his introduction, Edy Setiono stated that the standard protocol for the Taman Wisata Candi (TWC) area is the regulations issued by the Indonesian Ministry of Health. These include social distancing, wearing masks, and handwashing facilities for tourists, both at the entrance and in various areas of the park.
In addition, PT TWC will also implement visitor management measures for tourists. This is in accordance with government directives to limit visitors. These restrictions are also adjusted to the TWC area's capacity to accommodate tourists in accordance with strict health protocols. "We are carrying out this reopening carefully. We don't want to be reckless. We are limiting visitors. At the initial reopening, we will start with 10 to 15 percent of visitors, which means a maximum of 1500 people per day. Later, we will gradually increase the number by 20 to 50 percent of the normal visitor volume," explained Edy Setijono.
Meanwhile, BOB President Director Indah Juanita expressed her appreciation for PT TWC's efforts. "We can see that PT TWC is very well prepared, yet remains very cautious. Careful calculations have been made, so it can serve as an example for opening a tourist destination," she explained.
During the simulation, guests were invited to observe the implementation of health protocols, from the entrance gate to the concourse area. They were also invited to watch the interactive Samudra Raksa cinema.
