PT TWC Holds Go Green Edukriya Week Towards Quality Tourism
Visitors to the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park (TWC) participated in the Go Green Education Week held by PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko to welcome tourists during the 2022 Eid holiday. This new experience activity was held by involving the community around Borobudur.
Edukriya Go Green Week is a green tourism campaign activity packaged by TWC, as a form of appreciation for nature and the environment. Tourists can see a variety of works of art made from plastic waste. In fact, tourists can practice directly making Edukriya Go Green crafts, and take home the work as souvenirs.
Edukriya Go Green Week is also a medium to build tourist awareness regarding waste, environment and nature issues. Tourists get education that the waste around us can be processed into objects with high artistic value.
"The concept is indeed very Go Green. So starting from the activities, product displays, even the ambiance, we shape it in such a way, utilizing plastic waste into beautiful ornaments," explained VP Marketing & Sales TWC Pujo Suwarno in Borobudur, Wednesday (4/5/2022).
Tourists can enjoy the Go Green Education Week after getting off the Borobudur Temple courtyard. The location is west of the Samudraraksa Ship Museum. Tourists can enjoy the Go Green Education Week on May 4–8, 2022, from 09.00–15.00 WIB.
PT TWC collaborates with various stakeholders to participate in encouraging the smooth running of the 2022 Eid holiday. One of them is the community around Borobudur who has the potential for local wisdom that is interesting for tourists.
"The tourism potential in the villages around Borobudur is extraordinary and diverse. It would be a shame if these potentials were not enjoyed by tourists. Therefore, TWC collaborates with local communities to package the Go Green Edukriya Week as one of the activity attractions during the 2022 Eid al-Fitr period at TWC Borobudur," concluded Pujo Suwarno.
