PT TWC Distributes 1500 Basic Necessities to the Community in the Borobudur and Prambanan Areas

PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko distributed 1500 food packages to the community around the Taman Wisata Candi (TWC) Borobudur and Prambanan destinations, Friday (22/4/2022). The Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) activity carried out annually is in accordance with the pillars of social development in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Basic food assistance includes rice, cooking oil, granulated sugar, tea, bread, and instant noodles. The distribution of these basic necessities aims to help provide basic needs for residents, especially in welcoming the Eid al-Fitr 1443 H.

"This year cannot be like the years before the pandemic, where the numbers were much greater. However, at least we are still trying to share. Hopefully what we are doing can ease our brothers and sisters in preparing for Eid needs later,' explained PT TWC President Director Edy Setijono at the TWC Head Office, Friday (22/4/2022).

The TWC President Director also said that the basic food distribution program received appreciation from the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ma'ruf Amin, when he visited the TWC Borobudur destination to review a number of regional preparations in welcoming the 2022 Eid holiday.

"Earlier, we also reported this activity to the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia who happened to be in Borobudur distributing aid with Baznas. So, this activity is in line with the aim of alleviating our brothers and sisters in need," he continued.

Prambanan Klaten Sub-district Head Puspo Enggar Hastuti appreciated this activity. According to him, even though it is still affected by the pandemic, PT TWC continues to be committed to being present to ease the burden on the community.

"We are very grateful that through the TWC Berbagi program we can help the community. We also pray that all levels of TWC will bring good impacts to TWC where in the past it was indeed affected by restrictions that became government policy," he said.

The Head of the Prambanan Covid-19 PP Task Force also appreciated the implementation of health protocols at the TWC Prambanan destination. "TWC Prambanan is very disciplined in implementing health protocols according to policies from the central government. Every activity at TWC, we always coordinate and communicate," he concluded.
