PT TWC Ready to Welcome the 20 Indonesian G2022 Presidency Delegation
PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko ensures the readiness of all managed tourist destinations to welcome the 20 Indonesian G2022 Presidency delegation. Various preparations for facilities and infrastructure are being carried out to support the implementation of the work agenda of this international forum consisting of 19 countries and 1 European Union institution.
PT TWC as a manager of cultural heritage-based destinations supports the implementation of the G20 as one of the programs that helps advance the tourism industry. This is done by preparing areas and operational services of international standards.
All destinations that will be the venue for the G20 activities, including the Prambanan Temple Tourism Park (TWC), Rama Shinta Resto Theater along with the Ramayana Theater and Stage, Dagi Abhinaya in the TWC Borobudur complex. Meanwhile, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) is still undergoing a revitalization process to welcome the G20 delegation in the third quarter of 2022.
President Director of PT TWC Edy Setijono said that the work agenda of the 20 Indonesian G2022 Presidency will stimulate the tourism sector and its supporting services. Through the theme "Recover Together, Recover Stronger" the 20 Indonesian G2022 Presidency is a momentum to activate the implementation of quality tourism to support tourism recovery towards the post-pandemic era.
"Since the end of last year, we have been focused on preparing to welcome the G20. Regional preparations have been carried out optimally by collaborating with a number of related stakeholders. Hopefully, the implementation of the G20 can be a momentum to develop quality tourism in Indonesia," he explained in Yogyakarta, Wednesday (16/3/2022).
There are three special G20 side events in March 2022, namely on the 17th, 24th and 25th which will take place in the Taman Wisata Candi (TWC) area, including the G20 Education Working Group (EdWG), G20 on Environment Deputies Meeting and Climate Sustainability Working Group (EDM-CSWG) and G20 Energy Transition Working Group (ETWG). This series of events was attended by 20 G20 member countries and participants from other countries.
PT TWC implements health protocols for G20 delegates by limiting mobility and interaction.
PT TWC invited the G20 delegation to explore the travel experience offered at each of its leading destinations, such as dinner with a panoramic view of Prambanan Temple, sunrise and breakfast at Bukit Dagi enjoying the panoramic view of Borobudur Temple, or watching the legendary Ramayana Ballet and Roro Jonggrang Drama performances.
The presentation and service during the gala dinner at TWC Prambanan is also a major focus. The Manohara Hotel Yogyakarta as a subsidiary of PT TWC presents a superior menu in the form of a set menu or buffet with western, Indonesian and Asian menu variants.
