PT TWC Receives Visit from Besakih Temple Management, Bali

In addition to optimizing and providing the best service for tourists in each destination, at the same time PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan, & Ratu Boko is also very concerned about spiritual activities such as worship. Reflected in Prambanan Temple which is open to tourists and Hindus who want to worship.

This caught the attention of the management team of Pura Agung Besakih, Bali, who visited the PT TWC Head Office on Monday (12/9/2022). They said that the visit was to increase insight & knowledge in managing tourist destinations.

"So the purpose of our coming here is to increase knowledge and insight, as well as share experiences related to the system and management of tourist destinations. Moreover, Pura Agung Besakih also has two functions like Prambanan Temple, namely a place of worship and a tourist destination," said Acting Manager of Operational Management of Pura Agung Besakih Area Management, I Gusti Bagus Karyawan.

As one of the speakers in the discussion, GM TWC Unit Prambanan, Jamaludin Mawardi welcomed the arrival of Puri Agung Besakih management. "Managing heritage destinations is like having two sides of a coin, namely the conservation or preservation function and also the utilization function, they must not exceed each other, both must be balanced. The utilization function, for example as a place of worship, is a benefit for the community," he explained.

Jamaluddin Mawardi also added that the characteristics of each destination are the key to becoming a sustainable destination. "The spirit of tourism is customer experience. Creative and innovative competitiveness is needed so that a sustainable tourist destination will be formed," Jamaludin concluded.
