K3 Refreshment through Fire Prevention Training

PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko held a training and refresher on fire disaster prevention and management in the Taman Wisata Candi (TWC) Prambanan environment, Tuesday (3/12/2024). The activity, which was attended by employees of the TWC Prambanan and Keraton Ratu Boko Units, TWC Ramayana Theater and Stage Units, and representatives of TWC Prambanan kiosk traders, presented speakers from the Klaten Regency Fire Department (Damkar).

IDM Operation & HSSE Group Head Leonardus Adityo Nugroho said that this activity is part of refreshing and building a strong K3 culture in the IDM work environment, both in the office environment and the trader environment in the tourist area.

" The point of this refresher is to refresh our memory and our habits of always prioritizing health and safety. It also increases our awareness of safety, which is not solely the responsibility of the OHS division, but of everyone at TWC Prambanan," he explained.

The training was presented through theory and practice guided directly by the Head of the Klaten Regency Fire Department Sumino. Participants received material related to how the fire spreads and how to minimize the damage it causes.

Participants also practiced extinguishing small-scale fires using traditional extinguishing equipment, including using towels dampened with water and also more modern extinguishing equipment such as Light Fire Extinguishers (APAR).

“Repeated training helps build a strong safety culture in the workplace. When companies consistently provide training, workers tend to prioritize health and safety in every action,” Sumino explained.

Meanwhile, GM Prambanan & Keraton Ratu Boko Ratno Timur said that this activity is in line with the ongoing program at the Prambanan Temple destination which is currently preparing comprehensive disaster response management with a team from the Cultural Preservation Center for Region X.

"This training should be followed by every individual in the office. They must know at least the SOP and scope of emergency response, especially fire disasters. Hopefully this will not happen, in all areas of TWC Prambanan and Ratu Boko," concluded Ratno Timur.
