Thousands of Buddhists from 25 provinces in Indonesia follow the procession towards the National Waisak 2562 BE in the courtyard of Sewu Temple. Tuesday (29/5/2018). Night

The National Waisak Commemoration 2562 BE of the Indonesian Buddhayana Family at Sewu Temple took the theme "Harmony in Diversity for the Nation". This theme was set by the Indonesian Supreme Sangha as a reflection of the spirit of the pioneers of the revival of Indonesian Buddhism.

This year's Indonesian Buddhayana Family National Waisak was held since the morning at 04.00 by taking the Mrapen Fire in Grobogan and holy water at Umbul Jumprit Temanggung, then taken to Plaosan Temple and a procession of the Puja Facilities from Plaosan Temple to Plataran Agung Sewu Temple was carried out.

The procession of the worship facilities to the main altar, Waisak circumambulation, devotional service and meditation on the Waisak moments at 21.19.13, Waisak message, Dharmagita Waisak, blessings and prayers of the three traditions, and Waisak Feast.

The procession of the National Waisak commemoration of 2562 BE Indonesian Buddhist Family at Sewu Temple was also attended by 70 Monks and Bhikkhus from the Indonesian Supreme Sangha, as well as the BPIP Steering Committee Mahfud MD, Sultan Hamengkubuwono X, Palwoto, Director of Finance, HR & Investment of PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) and Director General of Buddhist Community Guidance Caliadi.
