Synergy Strengthens Cyber Security to Support Company Performance

Cybersecurity issues amidst business process optimization require primary attention. Amidst the development of digital technology, vulnerabilities that attack business processes must be minimized as early as possible. Synergy between various parties is necessary for a more comprehensive and integrated implementation that meets future challenges.

This was discussed by the InJourney Group Technology Forum (FORTI) on the agenda of the Technology Unit Quarterly Coordination Meeting in the Ratu Boko Unit Meeting Room, Prambanan, Sleman, Yogyakarta, Thursday (25/7/2024).

InJourney's Director of Human Resources and Digital, Herdy Harman, along with InJourney Destination Management (IDM) Operations Director, Mardijono Nugroho, and InJourney's Technology Group Head , Robby Saputra, opened the event, which was attended by the Information Technology (IT) functions of several state-owned companies in the aviation and tourism sectors.

On that occasion, InJourney's HR and Digital Director Herdy Harman explained the need for collaboration and synergy between IT functions under the auspices of the InJourney Group. This is expected to support the business acceleration of each company and be able to provide a significant impact on the performance of each company.

"So it is very important that we gather together, we update each other on how far the IT corps can play an optimal role in supporting the company's business. Our mindset is that IT is no longer as a support, but also encourages business optimization," he explained.

Herdy Harman also reminded that as a company that is heavily involved in public services , InJourney Group is encouraging anticipatory measures and optimizing digital security networks as part of standardization towards becoming a global company.

"We are a public service and must always anticipate digital breaches. We must ensure we build a robust digital security system, not a patchwork system. Standardization is also essential as part of our journey to becoming a global, world-class player ," he explained.

InJourney Technology Group Head Robby Saputra stated that the meeting also encouraged the establishment of an initial response to cybersecurity attacks in each company. Therefore, a Security Operation Center (SOC) team was formed from the holding company and its members as part of a work program to support cybersecurity implementation . Furthermore, InJourney Group also developed a long-term roadmap for IT development synergies across all InJourney functions.

"Every week, we will monitor IT holding progress updates, the output of which will be a quick plan and a long-term roadmap for us to implement collaboratively across all InJourney functions," he concluded.

Meanwhile, InJourney Destination Management's Director of Operations, Mardijono Nugroho, stated that IDM is implementing a SOC to protect, detect, analyze, and investigate digital threats to the company's performance. Furthermore, IDM plans to adopt Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR).

"EDR is an integrated endpoint security solution that combines continuous, real-time monitoring . Using a high level of automation, it enables IT security teams to identify and respond to threats quickly and accurately," he concluded.
