World Heritage Day 2018, TWC Partners with Gus Nas and Several Artists to Read Poetry in Prambanan and Borobudur
PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) collaborated with Gus Nas and several artists to hold a poetry reading activity to give meaning to World Heritage Day 2018. This poetry reading activity was held in Prambanan and Borobudur. This was conveyed by VP of Business Strategy and Human Resources Development Pujo Suwarno.
"Today, Monday, April 16, 2018, as part of the World Heritage Day series, Gus Nas and several artists will hold a poetry reading event, both in Prambanan and then in Borobudur. This is part of the artists' efforts to promote our cultural heritage. Today's agenda is to perform in Prambanan and tomorrow in Borobudur for sunset and sunrise performances. Today, sunset is in Prambanan. This is a commitment from TWC to promote our proud heritage, embracing our artists, allowing them to carry out cultural activities, and introducing the potential of our cultural heritage that we have developed over time," said Pujo Suwarno.
In the future, it is planned that this activity will be carried out in several other temples by involving several artists to be involved in it.
“For this activity, there are several statues brought. Several statues are one of the works of Mr. Pujianto, an artist from Jogja and if we look at his realistic work, and this is a beautiful accessory in several parts of the stage later. Earlier in the discussion we talked about the artists involved, then the cultural heritage sites that will later be used for cultural activities, poetry reading activities. If now there are only a few temples, only Borobudur, Prambanan and Sukuh temples, in the future there will be other temples such as Dieng Temple which will also be scheduled including the involvement of artists, there could be more. Even earlier, several officials from the Ministry of BUMN also really appreciated the poetry reading.” Added Pujo Suwarno.
It is hoped that this poetry reading activity will reach an international scale in the future.
“Earlier we just discussed the context of Central Java – DIY. Later it is possible that several regions will be invited. Gus Nas in principle invited us to collaborate so that in the future it can be improved again. And later the scale will be national and maybe even international. " concluded Pujo Suwarno.
