TWC Targets Mentoring 50 Elementary Schools in the 2018 – 2019 Academic Year

BUMN Present for the Nation, TWC Targets Mentoring 50 Elementary Schools in the 2018-2019 Academic Year Through the Student Achievement Acceleration Program

The Student Achievement Acceleration Program initiated by PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) has reaped positive results. The results of three months of mentoring for grade VI students, their National Examination (UN) scores were quite satisfactory. The average increase in scores was two points compared to the previous year's achievement.

In the 2017-2018 academic year, there were 3 elementary schools that received assistance, namely Sengon 1 Elementary School, Prambanan, Klaten, Salakan Lor Elementary School, Selomartani, Kalasan, and Perumnas 3 Elementary School, Condongcatur, Depok, Sleman.

"After we have been mentoring for approximately 3 months, Alhamdulillah in these 3 months the results are quite satisfactory. There is an increase in the average value of approximately 2 points. This is something we are grateful for and this is also the basis for us to carry out this program in the coming years. "said TWC President Director Edy Setijono.

Edy Setijono added that in this program, schools were deliberately selected that quote and quote have limitations both in terms of facilities and students. That is what is challenging for TWC. TWC wants BUMN to be present to accelerate so that students have the same opportunities as students from other schools that have better facilities.

"BUMN wants to be present as a companion in this education sector so that these less fortunate schools still have the same opportunity to compete in higher schools. This program will be evaluated first, if the results are good then next year TWC will also collaborate with other BUMN to be involved so that the number will be greater with a target of 50 Elementary Schools." Edy Setijono concluded.
