The VW Tilik Desa (Vehicle Tilik Desa) and Andong Tilik Desa (Hong Tilik Desa) tours are popular with adventurous visitors to Borobudur Temple. These tours allow visitors to the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park to explore the surrounding villages and experience new culinary delights, according to Chrisnamurti Adiningrum, General Manager of Borobudur Temple Tourism Park.
“We have several activities in Borobudur. There are VW Tilik Desa and Andong Tilik Desa. Visitors from Borobudur can go around the villages around Borobudur using andong or VW. Visitors who especially like adventure really like this. They can also look for new culinary delights in the villages around Borobudur,” said Chrisna.
During the end of year holiday season of 2017, Borobudur Temple Tourism Park became one of the favorite tourist attractions for tourists. Even on December 24, 2017, the number of visitors who visited Borobudur Temple Tourism Park reached 50.000 people.
“Alhamdulillah Borobudur is very crowded during this peak season, we even had 50.000 visitors on December 24, 2017. We are currently providing additional facilities that visitors apparently like. The facilities that have been available since December 2017 are 4D simulator rides. Visitors who come down from the temple can immediately watch the 4D simulator. Then there is also fish therapy that is popular with visitors. " said Chrisna.
“In addition, right now it's the Instagram season, people like to take pictures. We also have some interesting photo spots. One of them is butterflies. The butterflies around Borobudur can provide shade and can be used for photos that are popular with visitors. Hopefully the weather will be good so that next month these butterflies will still be in Borobudur.” Chrisna added.
Chrisna hopes that in 2018 the number of visitors to the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park will increase. In addition, there will also be an increase in services for visitors so that visitors are not disappointed but get maximum service and are happy after returning from Borobudur.
