New Attraction of Borobudur Temple, Interactive Cinema of Samudra Raksa Museum

There is a new attraction called Interactive Cinema at the Samudraraksa Museum in the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park complex in Magelang Regency, Central Java.

This interactive cinema tells the story of a boy named Raka who goes on an adventure through space and time, looking back at the glory of the Indonesian Maritime. Featuring the great figures of the Indonesian Maritime, namely: Panangkaran, Gunadharma, Mpu Sindok, Gadjah Mada, Malahayati in digital form.

This is part of the efforts made by PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) so that the Samudraraksa ship can be better known by the wider community, especially the younger generation.

TWC tries to approach the younger generation through digital methods, this is because in the digital era, it is possible to communicate longer stories in a limited space.

This digital method was chosen so that Samudraraksa, which is the pride of Indonesia, can be better communicated and most importantly, it can also be a vehicle to rekindle the maritime spirit of Indonesian children.

This Interactive Cinema is expected to be a new entertainment medium as well as an educational medium for visitors, especially children, about the Maritime Glory of the Archipelago.

For the ticket price of Rp. 25.000. The show schedule starts at 07 WIB.

The Samudraraksa (sea protector) ship is a double-outrigger wooden ship made of wood originating from the 8th century in the Indonesian archipelago which is depicted in several reliefs of Borobudur Temple, Central Java, Indonesia.

The use of outriggers is to balance and steady the boat. Canoes with single or twin outriggers are typical boats of the Austronesian peoples used in their exploration and distribution in Southeast Asia, Osceania and the Indian Ocean.
