World Heritage Twin Program, Temple Tourism Park's Effort to Bring Indonesian Heritage to the International Heritage Arena
PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) runs an ERP program and destination digitalization. This is done to realize the concept of digital tourism.
“Now what we are doing internally, for example, we are running a program that we know as ERP. This is the basis for us to be able to appear as a service company for the development of the heritage site. Secondly, we will develop the concept of destination digitalization. We are designing a program, later the pilot project will be in Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko. But later we can implement this in other destinations that we call smart destinations. So the concept is the concept of tourism digitalization.” Said the President Director of PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) Edy Setijono.
This will be a new platform in the management or services that will be provided by the Temple Tourism Park in the future.
"One example, for example, we are currently running a program called the World Heritage Twin Program. This is one of the efforts to introduce ourselves to become a good heritage service company, of course we also have to go through stages. " added Edy Setijono.
The first effort made by TWC was to carry out a cooperation program with other World Heritage managers in the world.
"The first one we did in 2016 with Machupichu in Peru. In 2017 we designed it with India, we chose the Taj Mahal. Later there will be Twin World Heritage between the Taj Mahal and Prambanan. Why Prambanan and Taj Mahal, we will take it aside from the fact that this is World Heritage, we will take the story behind it. If the Taj Mahal is known as one of the heritages that has a story about love story and Prambanan also has it. We are looking for closeness like that, why we are bringing this closer is because Prambanan is also present in a cultural heritage scene at the international level. So we really want to bring our heritages to the international level. " explained Edy Setijono
